Replacing Total Silence With Potent Advocacy and implementation
Vision:
As a political group, FRIENDS OF JAMESETTA M. HENRIES envisions a just world that promotes and protects human rights, gender equality, quality health and the integrity of the environment. We also need to create an environment where all women, girls and vulnerable groups have equal rights, access to education and economic empowerment. Helping to shift women's mindset towards a new global norm, where gender no longer alters the view of anyone in society. We are dedicated to tackling multiple issues: Economic Empowerment, Humanitarian Action, Governance & National Planning, and Sustainable development.
Mission:
The mission of the FRIENDS OF JAMESETTA M. HENRIES is to ensure that Hon. Henries is elected as the next REPRESENTATIVE of Electoral District #3, Grand Bassa at the 55 th Legislature of Liberia. To achieve this, wellwishers and supporters should preach, propagate and promote the image and message of Hon. Jamesetta M. M. Henries.
Objective:
Is to work in eliminating all obstacles to the establishment of national advocacy, gender equality, education, empowerment, quality health and promotion of women in the community. In short, we are “Helping Individuals Achieve A More Independent and fulfill life”
Political Goal:
As a politician with a humanitarian background, a selfless leader with a vision who is proactive and believe in a pragmatic style of leadership; with the lobbying power, I have the passion and ambition to represent my people of electoral district #3, Grand Bassa County, Liberia
What motivates me to represent my people?
Women play major roles as decision-makers and leaders advancing peace and prosperity around the world. Yet progress on women's political representation has been slow and uneven. Only 22 countries have women in the highest position of political power and only 25 percent of national parliamentarians are women.
Recognizing the profound effect that women's participation in public life has on a country's security, justice, and resilience as described in the United Nations Security Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security, IRI empowers women to seize opportunities during periods of conflict and transition while al so building.
Also, The call of the people is my biggest motivation! As a dedicated humanitarian and an advocate for women, girls and youth, I bring myself forward in humility to represent the people of electoral district #3 Grand Bassa County; as I have to my credit a worth-of experience in leadership, and have demonstrated selflessness in my services to humanity over the years.
My voluntary services over the years have conferred an enormous benefit on several communities in Grand Bassa (especially Electoral District #3) and other communities across Liberia. In 2020 I humbly accepted an appointment by the Grand Bassa county leadership headed by superintendent, Hon. Janjay Baikpeh to serve as the Mobilization Chairlady of the Grand Bassa Sports Association (BSA) 2020/2021 national county meet, and has continued to serve in that role with honor and distinction.
Haven't been called upon by the people of Electoral District #3 Grand Bassa County to afford them adequate representation in the Legislature, I have come to answer this call to ensure the quest for adequate representation becomes a reality.
My Plans for the District
Oversight
Our oversight responsibilities will mostly focus on areas of cogent concern to the district and the nation; areas we will pay keen attention are: Health & Sanitation, Education, Advocacy, Empowerment and Recreation. And these are our five pillars.
Lawmaking
Our law-making efforts will ensure: Follow up on bills in committee rooms, National programs for underprivileged youths and underdeveloped communities.
Representation
Our representation will look at more engagements with the District Development Council involvements and Community residents/leaders’ interaction. Together we will make decisions in the interest of the district.
